Families Hurt So Much Poem by Mr. Jeff

Why do the ones you love hurt you so much,
They should love, protect, make you feel safe,
You should feel love at their touch!

But sometimes
they turn
they hurt
they burn

You do your thing
and make your choices,
BUT they think,
you are ignoring THEIR voices

You just want to be happy
and live your life,
Without argument
or strife.

But they will not let it go,
THEY make sure that YOU know
how upset they are
because THEY are more upset, by far! ! !

I guess i should just do as i'm told
cos i am young and they are old!

I will have to tow the line,
cos my life is THEIRS
and not mine.......
