Family And Friends Poem by Edmund V. Strolis

Family And Friends

So much of life is a tough row to hoe
We live for that which remains
Sorrow and days of long soaking rains
We welcome the warm summer days

Deep are the wounds we must suffer
We heal in the embrace of our friends
Regret scars the walls of our heart
With wisdom we begin once again

Our ships' masts are battered and torn
We will mend our own sail at days' end
When humanity seems sure to fail
We find solace in family and friends

Yes, we do. This is an inspirational poem and a reminder of where we should turn in times of trouble and happiness! Thanks Edmund....

I like how you said AND happiness. We would not want to show up constantly being a downer!
