Family Importance Poem by Megan Knox

Family is the most important thing to me. Why can't they see that too? Can I see what they cannot? Why must this fight they are fighting continue any longer than it already has? I love them and they love me, but the love doesn't reach out like it should. They are important because of who they are.
They are important because of the love that we share.
They are important because of the time we shared together.
They are important because they know who I am.
I know who they are, but this is not them.
Where is the family I know and love so much?
