Family Time Poem by Gerry Legister

Family Time

Often, we meet and greet
And coming from the street
We wipe the dirt off our feet

wash our hands before we eat
the delicious chicken and meat
before the last crumbs of desert

At family time we laugh and weep
talk about the things we should keep
and reveal secrets in our sleep

Face defeat, go forward or retreat
We sealed destiny, and change fate
Before death, the heavens can wait.
