Famous Prophecies In History Poem by Mohammad Yousef

Famous Prophecies In History

By Mohammad A Yousef

In the swirling mists of time,
where whispers of the past linger,
the ancient oracles spoke,
their voices echoing through the ages,
casting visions on the canvas of humanity.

A man in a cave, shadows flickering,
his breath mingling with the incense of the divine,
foretelling the rise and fall,
the empires built on dreams and dust,
the cycles of power,
where kings wear their crowns like a shroud.

Nostradamus, with ink and quill,
scribbled in cryptic verses,
dancing on the edge of fate,
a tapestry woven of fire and water,
as the world trembled beneath the weight of his words,
truth wrapped in enigma,
time itself bending to his will.

The Gospel of John,
a seer on an island of exile,
who painted the apocalypse in vivid hues,
the beast, the mark, the end of days,
a warning wrapped in love,
for those who dared to listen,
to decipher the signs,
the cosmic ballet of creation and destruction.

And from the East,
the prophecies of the Buddha,
echoing through the stillness of the heart,
whispers of enlightenment,
the cycles of rebirth,
the quest for peace amidst the chaos,
a promise of Nirvana,
a beacon for those lost in the shadows.

In the windswept sands of the desert,
the voices of the prophets rise,
Moses, with his tablets of stone,
foretelling a covenant, a journey through trials,
a people bound by faith,
their destiny etched in the stars.

And there, in the halls of Delphi,
the Pythia, inhaling the fumes of the earth,
spoke in riddles,
her words a labyrinth of fate,
the future unfurling like a scroll,
each turn a choice,
each whisper a path not taken.

Throughout history,
the prophets have walked among us,
their visions illuminating the dark corners,
offering glimpses of what could be,
or what must come to pass,
the fabric of reality woven with strands of foresight,
a delicate lace of hope and despair.

Yet, here we stand,
with our feet on the ground,
bearing the weight of their predictions,
wondering if we are mere puppets,
or architects of our own destiny,
the ink of their prophecies still wet,
as we write our own stories,
page by page, in the book of existence.

From the ashes of the past,
we rise,
shaped by visions,
guided by echoes,
each moment a choice,
each breath a chance,
to forge our path beneath the watchful gaze
of those who dared to see beyond the veil,
the famous prophets of history,
their legacies etched in the heart of time.
