Fancy Poem by Hans Raj Sharma

Fancy

Crying-
For stars
And moon
Flowers and
Their perfume
Plants and trees
Rivulets and streams
Green plains and
High mountains
Chirping of birds
Melodious songs
Of Himalayan winds
Fantastic contrast
A muddle of cries
Its shrilling noise
Throughout
The day and night
Rare of the rarest
Music of the universe
Away from its reach
Still you can enjoy
Enjoy them all
Though not in reality
Yet, in fancy
No one can deny.
Beauties of the earth
Charms of the heaven
Sweetness of echoes
Pleasantness of
The unripe buds
Fairy’s beauty and
Attraction of her gait
Everything marvelous
Still you can enjoy
Enjoy them all
Though not in reality
Yet, in fancy
No one can deny.
World’s wealth
Name, fame and
Physical gains
Salvation or
Eventful deeds
Eternal joys or
Immortal frame
Beyond one’s reach
Still you can have
Have them all
Though not in reality
Yet, in fancy
No one can deny.
