Far Away Poem by Jahir Hasan

Far Away

Krishnachura leaves on the surface of water,
Those floating leaves dance forever,
The crow's call mixes with the spring breeze,
Sitting under the bakul tree, near me,
No noise from afar, beyond the bridge,
People cross the water by the name of Pulpara.
A group of laughter emerges under the Gulmohar tree,
I don't see anyone,
Yet, their voices reach me,
They don't want the game of hide and seek to end.
Where do they go?

But I am not an orphan!

From afar, I also have a scene,
On this side of a small river,
On the other side, I perceive a restless view,
As long as daylight approaches.

That's why being far is so good, it stays beautiful.
