Fare Thee Well Love - Poem by Correina MacRae

Fare thee well love
fare thee well,
if you ever did love me
I never could tell.

I’ve been fighting my heart
right from the start,
and now it’s time
for the pain to stop.

Fare thee well love,
don’t forget the
little things that count.
Don’t forget to say how
much they mean and
always give benefit of doubt.

I used to know
but I lost track somewhere,
and saying, “Good-bye”
isn’t exactly easy for me,
I’m honestly really scared.

Our love went cold
long ago,
so why has it taken
so long for us to finally
let each other go? .
