Farewell Poem by Shaquay Spencer

Farewell

Goodbye, farewell
Guess this is the ending
One simple word
Yet so hard to say
Endings, I always hate this part
Parting ways
Never knowing where or when our paths will cross again
I hope this isn't our final act
Bout only our intermission
In the words of Shakespeare parting is such sweet sorrow
I hope you find everything you seek
On your quest apart from me
I hope life brings you only the best
If we shall never meet again
I know it true
I won't ask or seek an answer of the universe
I hope only for now
But my heart and yours both hold the truth
As long as our hearts hold these feelings
It is only see you later
