Farewell My Sweet Grandfather Poem by Lucelle Grace Galleros

Farewell My Sweet Grandfather

A bright light in our lives,

That was always so giving,

Could not have been sweeter,

Nor softer in manner.

To fade into history,

Will ever be mystery,

Seems the sweetest are chosen,

Over all of the rest,

And whose absence will be felt

For ever so long...

We'll miss your presence,

Farewell my beloved Lolo.

You're just like a stethoscope,

You always know what is really inside my heart.

Whether I am happy, sad, inspired or even hurt.

You're just like a cowboy,

You whipped me with lessons,

Lessons that makes a caterpillar change into a butterfly.

And for turning me into a beautiful butterfly,

I can now fit with my family.

And for all of that, I thank you.

For ever so long...

I'll miss your love,

Farewell my beloved Lolo.
