Farewell Twenty-Eighteen (2018) Poem by Garba Ado Ibrahim

Farewell Twenty-Eighteen (2018)

With my eyes flowing rivers,
Of cold tears,
My heart filled with sorrows,
And fears,
Of what your successor bears,

I have witnessed all of your shares,
Your absence has great shares,
My sad farewell goes with tears,
Never ever i will forget,
Your good shares,
Though, you have done,
Much further for repairs,
Don't think i will forget such shares,

Indeed, your share comes in pairs,
And the impressions remain for years,
Twenty-eighteen one of my dears,
I regret the time tears,
Us apart with so much tears,

I will always be looking back at,
The positions you occupied,
As the distance creates,
More and more barriers,
Between us,
On my face,
Anger, regret and happy that burns,
My heart and changes,
The shape and formation of my thoughts,

Angry i am where,
I was disappointed by you,
How severely i was tortured by you,
Your punishment as gift,
Opportunities i tried in vain,
Golden privileges i was denied by you,

Indeed, what has beginning,
Must have an ending,
Farewell to you twenty-eighteen,
We separate for no years.
