Farewell Poem by Garba Ado Ibrahim

Farewell

Rating: 5.0

Who knew who before?
Who knows who after four?
From nowhere,
Came we as friends and peer.
North the South and West,
some from Asia.

I will live to hear,
Laughter and happiness we share.
Mixture of scent and odour,
Hanging in air,
Especially when the weather is unfair.
Our good teachers and lazyfair,

I dont know whether time is fair,
You brought us together you disappear.
That closeness and companionship you tear.
I will live to see you in my eyes with tear.
Oh! My colleagues.
can i say farewell?

I will live my life to remember your share.
Experiences would forever be clear,
Like bird floating in air.
together we lived in sweet and bitter,
today we separate in happy and laughter.

Some and some up the ladder,
Some there in the hereafter.
And, those offended one another,
Separated ever forever.

Do i have to say i forgive you all?
For what i did to you after all,
I am a human no wonder if i fall.
And so easy it is i can make a mistake for all.
I wish for you what you wish for me all.
To you i say farewell.
