Fate Poem by Kaitlin Dornan

Fate

Don't listen to their words.
You're from two different worlds.
Words meant to stain
became engraved in your brain.

Their hate
became your fate.
They fling insults when you try.
You want to die.
There is no hope;
all you can do is mope.

They scream 'Fat'.
Stitching it into your stomach
as your reminder for when you skip
the first meal.

To be skinny is your hearts desire.
To be skinny is the fire
that inspires.

Falling deep into the abyss
with every meal you miss.
No one knows until it's too late
and you've met your dark, skinny fate.
