I wait
As this chapter of my life unfolds
Am I following fate or
Shaping my own destiny

We did not choose to meet
So fate played the hand
For our first encounter
But have we chosen wisely
Our actions since that day

Are we forging a path
That will lead us both
Towards the peace we seek
Whether it be together or apart
Or have we been misled
One or both to once again
Be lost in heartache

I wait
As this chapter of my life unfolds
But for the first time
I am happy to be where I am
Little thought for the future
Few thoughts of the past
I am content just to be.....
