Fatherly Love Poem by Morhardt Carmen Mencita Monoi Angel

Fatherly Love

Fatherly love

Strong this fatherly love
Surfaces for the newly born
Capturing daughter’s gaze
Male strength evaporates

Nothing else matters
As protecting this dear life
Given by motherly birth
Into fatherly laps

Little girl fatherly weakness
Sweet and so innocent
Cuddles into his arms
For him to hold her warm

Blowing a tenderly shy kiss
On baby daughters cheeks
Melting at the wonder
That was given to him

Baby girl will start soon to grow
Girlish smiles lighten daily
Fatherly love will never end
But fairly tales they do

Like a flower in blossom
Baby girl little doll teenager
Years are constantly passing
Daughter becomes a woman

Fathers getting lost In contemplation
Of a new wonder to their eyes
Fatherly love as strong as ever
To protect their treasure forever
