Faulty Fifty Poem by Wale Morakinyo

Faulty Fifty

Some words are far lost
Ever before they were formed.
Some thoughts are ready to distort,
So don’t bother them constructed.

5.But this I will say,
Even if my heart will jump.
And this I will say,
Even if my heart will stop.

The words of the letter you can’t retain
10.But this I’ll say and leave my trace,
For all the years have gone like train,
“Fifty” are the years we can’t but trace,

Fifty are the years we’ve lived betrayed
Suffering and smilling we still but hope
15.Hopes and hopes we’ve now but tried
But all we’ve got are dreams and hope.
