Fear Poem by Clare McWilliams

Fear

Fear is in us all, of a life not worth lived...
Of a love not worth loved.
Regrets of actions uncarried out.
Pining for a love that has not been lost,
But changed..
By the winds of change..
The weather of life...
The bane of experience..
The longing for a time never to return.
Love for the way it used to be.
Eternally..
Instead of the way of the time
And reminiscing with relish..
Time enjoyed instead of time passed,
In longing for what you had,
In order to love it properly this time round.

Life experience changes lifes pathways
And determines whether it is a scenic journey
And the property of epic proportions.
Have you a trilogy like that of Tolkien?
Stories of your life should stir an emotion
Similar to that of love that has been lost.
It has been an experience...
I learned this...
