Fear Poem by Joshwin Artedes

Fear

A word that i was afraid to come
four letters that would make me dumb
When it hunts it make me call my mom
Terrified I am and that adds up to the sum

The strongest man can fall to his knees
If this thing start to trouble him
Even in war once a leaders is killed
A battalion fall back even they cohere

Do I need to drink a bottle of beer
Every time it attacks when it drives near
Or wil it put me in more despair
knowing I won’t last long if i just leer

Height, insect, water are some concern
Dark rooms, bad dreams even death we feel doom
I can’t make a move and stops me to learn
The reason why i became a complete fool

Male, female young and old has there own dread
Everyone has it so do not pretend
It’s a plague so don’t be pressured
Science call this phobia, so now i'm sure

It is Fear that i’m talking about
Even you hear it will have no doubt
Was this a great terror that come out
Or is there one good thing i can talk out loud

A wise man said this true inspiring quote
If you don’t have this you will have no hope
A phrase that really hard to cope
But for me its the most adequate thought

Was this made to teach me to be brave
opportunity given to a coward like me
Telling that none can be if i hesitate
Because nothing is impossible if you just believe

To remind us that comrades are there, ready to help
That if we unite anything can be conquered
A chance to give God’s hand for those in need
That he is here every time we crumble

I have to thank Thy for having this fear
For it reminds me that i also have limits
Even though that i’m still frighten with tears
I can still stand up with my own feet
