Fear Cripples Poem by Jan E Smith

Fear Cripples

Life’s sea filled with darkness.
No lights from above.
I’m searching for oneness,
while wishing for love

Wondering, why was I born?
And why I am here?
With a heart that is torn,
and nothing is clear.

When I look in the mirror,
who do I see?
A past filled with fear,
gazing back at me.
