Fearful Months Poem by Sasha Olivia Williams

Fearful Months

Rating: 5.0

We planned the night;
Then we kiss holding tight.
After came the product;
In the flash of a light.

Happy that he's on his way;
But terrified of the pain.
The discomfort, rushes and aches
Followed me each faithful day.

Anxious to see his face;
All alone in this phase.
Just receiving pity signs;
And messaging lullabies.

Preparing for the day to come;
While pouring out my stomach.
Moody about everything;
Even the cries of my little darling.

Swollen feet, stiffen back;
Turning nights not in tack.
Wanting this and wanting that;
Refusing most of my favorite snack.

My little daring will have her joy;
Of being together playing with their toys.
My happy family, kids of mine;
Fearful months, two sets of nine.
