Feather soft
Feather calm
Floating
Floating down
Angry winds
Viscious showers
Happily
Happily down
Why can't everyone
Be like you
Feather
Feather calm
Calm, content
Predictable
Floating
Happily down

A feather was once before But never more Possessed by another Amist many others Till one day Was cast out with no place to stay So it drifts upon the breeze Going not where it please But swept away in the sport Of having been abort(ed) By the very one that had nurtured it so, Permitting it to grow With a spine so strong To support it all along. Now it drifts to we know not where Showing not a single care A free spirit on its own Traveling where the wind is blown Until it will finally come to rest Amongst the debris of the past To be renewed by Nature's way Of recycling outcast everyday. Poor feather it knows not What its fate is all about But has served to keep one warm and dry Till the day it drifted in the sunlit sky. Shed not a tear for the plumage of the past For it will be renewed at last To serve others as before That's what Nature has in store. s
