Feeling Cold And Alone Poem by Courtney Shanahan

Feeling Cold And Alone

Rating: 5.0

The tips of the icebergs are like sharp shards of glass and so jagged that it is like going though a maze to find a path.
Wind so strong it creates paths as though they were made of concrete.

Icebergs create walls like a house as if to protect what is with in the walls.
Icebergs with big pointed edges like a nose of the face of a statue.

The cold sends shivers down your back as if to tell you your alone.
The tall mountains tilt towards you as thought they had eyes.

The pristine blue water is like the sky on a perfect day as though it has never been touched.
Water so cold that it would feel as though you were falling into nothing.

So silent that you could here what is happening 20 metres below the ice, as if you were the last person on the earth.
