Feelings Of Inadequacy Poem by hated failure

When I look around
And all I see
Are happy couples
Looking at each other
With gooeyness in their eyes
For each other,
I can't help but feel
Inadequate.

Or if I'm with a friend,
And people begin to make fun
Of one of us
And I can't stop it
And they either don't want to
Or can't either,
That's almost as bad.

If someone I like
Is torn away from me
Or goes with someone else
Or acts like I no longer exist,
That's the worse.

So if I seem
At times
To be in a terrible mood,
It's because of my terrible
Feelings of inadequacy.
