Fifteen Days - Poem by David Aslin

.............. Trust me babe
A living hell...................

Without you near, such a fear....empty, alone, without you here.
Not by my side, yet in my soul.....with every thought – not being told
Surrounded by all, still there is not you,
Who has taken my heart and made me true.
Such a true light..... Bright and pure, streets now cloudy and obscured
To have our own, we all do require, but once alone we do all desire............

To hold you tight, to lay my head - to yes, even share your bed.
So many thoughts now, drowning, choking – swirling inside,
Without you here to be my guide – I’ve lost sight of the track; no compass can show it back
Wanting, waiting – feeling the ground, it leads to you babe, my feelings unbound.

Afraid of that, which I need to show to you...... It’s noting but love through and through.
I want so much to lay upon you, entwine myself,
With you
