Fighting To Be Me - Poem by taylor marie

Its like I’m fighting
Fighting to be me
Got to watch what I say
Be careful of what I see
Think about the issues
Im fighting to be me
Even though
The world around me
Might be crashing down silently
Like snowflakes on fresh grass
No one hears anything
No one see’s anything
Its like I’m an object in a locked chest
Never know what’s inside
Wishing you knew
Killing you with temptation
I’m fighting to be me
And all you really see is a fake smile
That stretches for miles
No one knows
I’m fighting to be me.
