Final Embrace Poem by Alfred Ramos

Final Embrace

Steer your ship to shore
Away from the turbulent sea
Cause pain you don’t want more
Catch the gale
Let it fill your sail
Then run to me
Don’t sink half way home
Because you are too far from your rainbow
And you can’t make it on your own
Ride that final wave
And I’ll be there to save
Your tattered dreams of too long ago
Come in with the next tide
As sure as the moon will rise
You’ll make it over to the other side
The stars they are aligning
Shimmering with a silver lining
Just like the glitter in your eyes
Rush in like a wave that will never roll back
Use all your strength and grace
Make it a full frontal attack
We cannot let love sink and die
To save it we must give it a mighty try
I’ll be waiting for that final embrace
