Final Farewell Poem by Natasha Dowdy

Final Farewell

I feel you all around
Your scent still lingers in the air
I hear your footsteps upon this ground
Your playful laughter is everywhere

There isn't a place I see
That you haven't touched
It's all a reminder of you and me
I know now I missed so much

I wasn't able to trust you enough
I could not give you all my heart
But I melted with your touch
It was me that kept us apart

I tried everyday to let you go
To let you rest in peace
There are so many things that I will never know
Until my own heart does cease.

I can write about you now with out the tears
There is a new love in my life
Who has cast away my fears
But this also comes with its own price

So many miles have us seperated
Yet I know we can make it through
Into this new life we have created
I bid a final farewell to you.
