Finding My Own Light Poem by livvy du pont

Finding My Own Light

In the heart of our home, a trio stands strong,
My brother, my mom, and my dad all along,
A team so united, a bond so tight,
Their laughter and love, a beautiful sight.

My brother, he's cherished, always upheld,
By a mother who nurtures, a love unparalleled,
In every endeavor, he never stands alone,
With parents as pillars, his strengths have grown.

But I find myself on a path of my own,
No teammates beside me, I walk it alone,
Yet, in solitude's silence, a truth I see,
There's beauty in moments meant just for me.

The dark blue sky at twilight's embrace,
Holds dreams and hopes in its vast, open space,
The gentle scent of vanilla, sweet and pure,
Brings comfort and joy that will always endure.

Though I stand apart from their cherished trio,
I find my own light in the things that I know,
In colors and scents, in the quiet of night,
I discover my strengths, my own guiding light.

So I'll cherish their bond, their unwavering team,
And embrace the wonders of my own unique dream,
For in the depths of blue and vanilla's sweet air,
I find my own journey, my story to share.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
In this poem, I talk about my family where my mom, dad, and brother are super close and always support each other. I often feel a bit left out, but I've come to realize that I'm on my own unique path. Even though I'm not part of their tight family team, I find my own happiness and strength in things like nature and comforting scents. This poem shows that it's okay to be different and that I can still find my own way and my own joy, even if it seems like I'm alone.
