Fine Lines Poem by Derek Galvan

Fine Lines

Rating: 5.0

The beams released from your hearts light.
Yet you cover them with black eye liner.
Take it off if you're trying to look finer.
You're hiding the truth letting your eyes lie behind a marker.
Surely your heart will never grow darker.
I know the girl you're trying to show.
But black lines and bold edges are not the way to go.
Let your eyes shine bright and white
Truly then will you find a gentleman to feed your hearts light.
