Fireworks Poem by johannes lewinsky

Fireworks

It is that we must die must
And dragged down be
To carnage be and draped be
by memories of a life was

When still we would
Be living be
And in the midst of

It is that we die must
That makes us refute
this now is which only is
and is all that we should
be giving ourselves to

that makes us
shatter what we have
run from what we would
jump off bridges anything

while the bonfires burn
and fireworks still
each November 5th
light up the sky regardless
