First Love Poem by Suraksha Shetty

First Love

When I first met you
I hadn't gotten a clue,
That you'd be the one to make me laugh
That you'd be my other half,
I was just a haploid cell
But then you came along from hell,
And became the Sodium to my Chlorine
The Ross to my Rachel Green,
Life without you would be dreary
A Sutton without a Bovery,
I'd be Jerry without a Tom
A rom without a com,
You aren't always sweet and kind
But I have my own demons to unwind,
So would you be patient enough
To stay when things get rough?
Because you're the teddy to my Mr Bean
The Ted to my Robin.
