Flair For The Dramatic Poem by Laurence Overmire

Flair For The Dramatic

The dichotomy of self
Ego and soul

The one too powerful
Insecure and irrational

The other impassive
Serene and aloof

Together, at war
They make us who we are

Trying to negotiate a balance
Not willing to surrender

The one for the other.
