Flames Of Panic - Poem by Russell Crow

This is weird
this sensation, this burning on the inside
or is it just the smoke rising up
crying flames of panic and confusion of the dancing
stinging way they fly around
while my flesh slowly turns to ash
The smoke and fire
it's coming out of my hands, my eyes
as I lash out at water to
cease this unknown ailment
attacking me
I fall upon my knees harshly
for my legs have vanished from beneath
Why did this happen to me
Is this real or am I dreaming
The cigarette I had apart in inhaling
the cigarette I had at work
the cigarette I engulfed to endure the pain of today
is it my illness, my disease
or was it just a cruel joke I played upon myself
Someone tell me please
someone assist me...
