Seven colours of the rainbow
I could not name them readily.
-------------------------------
The black crows with the mynahs
I saw them flying in a great number
As for grabbing their places
By the olden hugely-trunked platform trees.
----------------------------------
The red disc of the sun glowing, reddening
To flash and focusat dawn with the cockcrow.
----------------------------------------------
The roadside violet crimson jaruls blooming
In bunches to adorn and decorate with a strange beautiifulness
So lovely to view.
-------------------------
The drizzle of Shravana calling for to take a pilgrimage
Of the pagoda of Shiva
To pour the river water carried over
The Linga.
------------------------------------
The jackals in my backyard calling
So fluffy, grizzled and slippery,
Coy and wild.
