Fleeing Love Affairs Poem by Enchanting Owl

Fleeing Love Affairs

Rating: 5.0

I feel like I'm drenched in the Arctic sand,
While listening to the music of downfall bands.
My heart does not recognize your great existence,
Because you are fixated on someone else's residence.

Getting my license after you left me,
To keep the promise we made at matrimony.
I guess you love being in a getaway car.
Going from town to town with your body and your guitar.

Can I see you smile? Can I hear your voice?
The point why I'm on cloud nine is that I rejoice.
Can you say my name with emotion and passion?
Waiting for your attention; waiting for any ration.

Clueless of this void, and I should have known,
Prevention is the remedy; cure is unknown.
This pain needs time—days, years, or even a decade.
Moving on is now both a distant dream and a grenade.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
This is another sad story. Being ghosted and left behind after someone gives you so much promise is not easy. The sad and hard part is the moving on phase; it takes time and effort.
