Flora Poem by Tafadzwa Chiwanza

Flora

Rating: 5.0

THE roses blush under sun's static gaze
Reddening with a craving for its touch
Seduced by the ever glow of sun's rays
As the covetous daisies stand to watch

The calla lilies cuddle together in Africa
Desiring liberty from the mazes of lust
Nipples stand erect with sweet paprika
Ebony roses lie naked closer to the dust

Ravish us with celestial love, sweet sun
For a thousand years we have loved you,
Facing the east we vowed to carry your son
Come upon us and we shall be forever new

The sun stood and stared in disgust
Angered by floras ephemeral lust

Well expressed thoughts and feelings, elegantly crafted in verse with rhythmic splendour. An insightful work of art written in persuasive poetic expressions with conviction. Thanks for sharing, Tafadzwa.
