Fly In Your Dreams Poem by Victoria Waylett

Fly In Your Dreams

Liquid surrounding, embracing the skin with open arms. Thoughts rushing like a stream. Smiles fading as fast as waves grasp the shore.

Heart fluttering, sending bliss throughout as forbidden fruit melts with the graze of sweet lips.

Young one fly in your dreams. Soar to the highest peak. Watch the moon loose its grip of night and see the sun conversate with the sky. Escape the uncertainty that poisons you for awhile.

Picking from tree, living on dream.

Water drops pound with fury and squeeze through cracks in the walls. Pots and pans cannot hold, for it floods.

Young one fly in your dreams. Soar to the highest peak. Watch the moon loose its grip of night and see the sun conversate with the sky. Escape the rainfall that shivers you to sleep for awhile.

Just know young one, forbidden fruit and a sweet dream may not be what it seems before it gleams.

Cold of night chilling, heat of day killing.
Water trickling down, leaping to the ground.
Eyes closing, biting into the forbidden fruit.
Waiting, waiting...waiting
