Foes Poem by Daniel B Kelleher

Foes

There once was a auld girl from Kerry
The day draws near she is to marry
She was afraid to tell her ma
Not a mind how to tell her da
A Cork man she's going to marry

Her ma turned white with anger
Her da turned red at the jowls
To make matters worse neighbour's cursed
Together they sport the colours
Of the Cork G.A.A.on their faces

On Facebook she ranted
On Twitter she raged
On account of her alcohol intake
We are lucky wines are off limits
Red and white comes back into play

On Facebook she would rant
On Twitter she would rave
All down to her alcohol intake
