Fools Love Poem by Rik Bertrand

Fools Love

I see you with him all the time, playing the lovers game.
Playing the game with a married man, always ends the same.
Listen to your heart my dear, do what you feel is best,
but in the end you know that it will end like all the rest.

A married man will look for love, and take it when its there,
he will wrap it up, treat it right, then leave it in despair.
So think of your life, and all the love you still have to give,
think of all the things you feel inside, and how you want to live.

I see the pain you feel inside everyime i look at you,
I see all the love you hold inside, oh what will you do?
Tell me that you won't play the fool, as i have in my life,
think about this man of yours, think about his wife.

I know what your feeling, for i have done the same,
i fell in love with a married woman, and i lost the game.
I understand that life's not fair, and love can be so cruel,
but take time out, love yourself, and don't play the lovers fool.
