For A Mother Poem by Mark Butkus

For A Mother

A mother is more than a night in a delivery room
She is there when needed
Soothes away pain
With a smile or a touch
Provides lessons in life
And especially lessons in laughs

She gives from her heart
Sharing hugs and balloons
Expecting nothing in return
Well, maybe a smile
A mother is more than a womb
