For A Teacher Who Left



In the kingdom by the sea,
In the kingdon mantled green,
In the midst of Jade and Gold-
and blue,
you came

On a frigid, freezing, fearsome storm,
On a shivery, sneezy, sleepy day,
On a table lay this one, tired,
and still-
you,
exclaimed

Of all the memories I hold dear,
Of all the moments I look forward to,
Of all the days I love
and cherish-
never will one be,
without you

By the time I stand in your shoes,
By the time I sit at your stool,
By the time I walk your way,
your path,
would I still be part of your memory?
would I still hold a place in your heart?
would I still......
