For Eternity Poem by Gail Hudson

For Eternity

just promise you'll save me a seat
wherever you happen to end up
weather it be heaven or hell
i'll take my seat next to you completely content

this is what i've wanted all my life
i gladly leave behind a wife and some children
possibly even a goldfish or two
to take my rightful place next to you

i'll take your hand and not lead you but walk beside you
and we'll go sit by charles
in hopes that he'll share a story or a poem
that tells of his love for jane

it will inspire both you and i
to just be next to eachother
for all of eternity
i will forever love you
