For Fear Of Death

Rating: 4.8

For fear of death,
You need not do anything.
Only for death
Do what you like
And do that immediately.
Make your breaths
Inward and outward,
Fix your vision
Between the eyebrows
And go within.
You are there,
Discover yourself
In you and
Know the truth.

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

Death, if you are familiar with my work is a popular topic for me, and represents at least 1/3 of my literary jacket. The topic is fascinating to me as it not only offers a myriad of storyline, but because of its concourse of areas one can go with it(IE; the dark, the mysterious, afterlife, belief, science, God, agnosticism, atheism, just to spotlight a few) , the topic of death contains so very many sub-topics, that I truly believe that a gifted writer could arguably write on this topic and only this topic for a lifetime, without the concern of repetitive material...I enjoyed this, Gaj...it presents in an abstractive vein...which I like to do myself...Many writers avoid abstract poetry out of fear their work will not be understood, and considered too esoteric...However, IMO, it is the abstractivity that creates the interest and wonder of the Reader...They may not pick up your message on 1st read...So, congratulations...for in many cases you just earned yourself a 2nd read...Underlyings, cryptics, macabre and anagramming is the reason why anyone who ever picked up a pen to write... knows the name...Edgar Allan Poe. Solid Write, Gaj ~FjR~
