In your childhood I saw you…
Menacing with one thing or the other
Saw you tying friends' shoe laces
Saw them tripping and tossing.
Saw you throwing stones at puppies
Saw them bleeding and crying in pain
Least bothered I stood laughing….
For Heaven's sake I am sorry!
As you grew old did I see you
Troubling one person or the other
Saw you pushing people into water
Saw them creep out panting for breath
Saw you inhumanely torturing beggars
Saw them pleading to let them go
Frustrated though, I said nothing…
For Heaven's sake I am sorry!
Torture it is, now as I see you
Threatening me, one way or the other
Stealing money I save for your sake
Painful its, to see your future dark
Untamed, unruly; you made my life miserable
Drinking and Stinking, makes me hate you.
Ashamed of your upbringing, I stand praying…
For Heaven's sake I am sorry!
