For This Night Of Solitude Poem by Leom Kolmnela

For This Night Of Solitude

For this night of solitude which does not quench,
when you are so far away from me,
the heart perfidiously from the mind does entrench,
trying to hide trembling and pressure deftly.

The mind takes a pride in being with you.
The heart despises the mind, with sadness.
Only a dream separates us two,
in this night which blackens with madness.

Into your arms I want to snuggle,
because, myself, I can not hate.
My heart's reason makes me doleful,
when my mind’s desire, I cannot negate.

And as I try to keep them close
so, my heart and mind can find an understanding.
I think, your image, reasoning bestows.
They will not find peace without you coming.
