For Those Yet Lost Poem by Michael P. Johnson

For Those Yet Lost

The sun goes up the sky is blue
Sweetness fills the air
Another day to praise anew
The One who’s love we share

Your glory’s great, man’s faith is weak
Creation’s so profound
Afford us grace through Christ to seek
The Way to higher ground

Your love for man is so immense
The loveliness You share
And though life’s storms may blow intense
We bow our heads in prayer

The night draws nigh the day’s far spent
By grace we hear and see
Yet many! Lord must still repent
So hear our lowly plea

Humbly we seek your face o Lord
Beneath Salvation’s flow
To help us wield a righteous sword
Against the common foe

Forgive the wayward things we’ve done
The foolish things we do
Replenish faith in Christ Your Son
And hope to live with You

Believing true the things we’ve heard
Baptised, within Your Flame
Impossible is not a word
When calling on Your name

To You o God we humbly turn
To You we bend our knee
As offerings we give to burn
Our lives to serve You free
