For When Im Gone Poem by Jamie Evans

For When Im Gone

Rating: 5.0

Try your damndest to remember me,
Im the one who made you laugh.

Go on; recall those memories of when
We held all we could have.

Warm summer days spent laid in bed,
Beads of sweat soaking the soft sheets.

Cold and dark December nights
Performing highly charged sexual feats!

But it wasnt just the tender times
Or the joy in being able to smile.

You were a friend, an advisor too;
For when I forgot I was no longer a child.

Now that Im gone please keep this verse,
When you forget what we once had.

Fold it up, maybe keep it in your purse,
And remember I will always love you.
