How many minutes do I have left on my clock?
I wish I knew
Because I'm wasting so much time
Considering for a future that may never come
Meanwhile missing these moments
Slipping through my consciousness
Never claimed in the reckoning of
Myself
And, in the end, might it not be
That the future conceives itself
With very little effort on my part?
I take a breath. Give it back.
A sigh filled with all the sadness of a
Forgotten dream.
