Once in a great while you meet someone
Who touches your heart like none before
And all the rivers of emotion
Flow into the empty channels of your soul
You long to breathe their scent
To feel their touch
You search your dreams for images
And live to hear their voice
To hold their hand and quench their fears
To start each day with them by your side
And to fall asleep looking into their eyes
Someone with whom you can share life’s treasures
To know that even the bad times will pass
With less suffering if they are there
You feel they hold the key to your love
You are but a prisoner to their heart
Every breeze you feel whispers their name
And if fate could be guided by my hand
You are the one I would have forever…
