For You Dad... (Samanthas Dad) Poem by Anashree Nash

For You Dad... (Samanthas Dad)

It feels as if;
I'm in a dream,
Where I'd awaken;
And have you here again...

My heart cannot;
Accept that you now,
Reside in the heavens;
And no longer here with me.

How I long;
To see you once more,
How I wish you would;
Walk through my door...

Words cannot fathom;
The sadness within me,
And this ache in my;
Heart won't fade away...

Nothing is the same;
Without you dad,
Nothing will ever;
Be the same again.

I can't promise you that;
I won't be sad,
I can't promise you that;
I won't cry when I miss you...

But I swear on my life;
And I can promise you,
That I will love you forever,
And treasure every moment with you.

Wherever you are;
Please be safe,
But most of all please;
Be happy just for me.
